IP Telephony Design and Installation
SNAP's client was looking for assistance in managing a VOIP project that would include business goals and objectives, design and proof of concept phases for a Cisco based IP Telephony system. One of the major deliverable requirements of the project was IP Telephony system design and implementation standards document.

The standards described best practice methods of building a converged voice and data network that would support secured wired and wireless LANs utilizing 801.1x authentication and dynamic VLAN allocation, Layer 3 switching, wireless roaming, Quality of Service and guest network to the Internet. These practices would include items such as IP address allocation, VLAN and SSID naming and mapping, Quality of Service (QOS) configuration, etc.
